JH- Concept development 1

During our trip to Brighton this week we had various conversations involoving developing our concept further in terms of mise-en-scene and technical shots.
Firstly we breifly spoke about the clothing we would wear throughout the video and all agreed that it should relate to the genre of the track which therefore would be slightly indie/orignal to create the correct band image. The narrative side of the track however would consists of the character wearing a smart suit to play the suitable role of a bussiness person of some description.

We also definatly agreed that the location of the performance part would definatly be in an old and empty school or cinema with use of a stage to perform on. We havn't yet decided the exact location for the narrative but assure it will be a certain street in london possibly london bridge or oxford street.

The technical shots we discussed to use in our final video were ones we tried out in brighton. One of these was an extremely effective shot of myself walking towards the camera which is moving backwards at the same pace in to a crowed of people parting either side of me and looking back creating empthasis on the key character, in this case myself. We got this idea from a Bluey Robinson video - 'Gotta be a way'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9zqxOCYRdc

The other shot we liked was a suilote shot of myself walking from underneath the bridge from the shaddows and then up the stairs with a strong contrast of light and darkness.
