JH- Ross Copperman - All she wrote - Ideas and concepts

Various long shots of main character followed by camera swiftly zooming in and consequently finishing with a close up. These close ups seem effective as character exposition is then enhanced and improves audiences relationship with that main character. The snap shot style screen shots included are also very effective and improves the overall style of the video making it slightly quirky and interesting to the viewers. There is also clearly a main female character in the video which the song is based around and some sort of relationship is not only formed between the audience and the female but also the main character in the female creating a narrative feel to the video. The performance side of the video is good and intertwines with the narrative side of it and the extreme lighting and mis-en-scene enhances this. The weather is also a strong asset to the video and there seems to be obvious use of pathetic fallacy to connote certain feelings and emotions which is interesting. The idea of shooting a music video inside of a music video is also an intriguing concept and works very well in this video, making the audience question which relationships are actually real and creates a sense of mystery.
